Our work is built on decades of experience in manufacturing companies, universities and international learning programmes. We understand Monozukuri philosophy more than manufacturing, but as a culture of craftsmanship, responsibility, learning and human development.
We publish works that have shaped thinking about manufacturing and leadership, as well as books that open new perspectives. Selected titles are carefully rediscovered, translated and designed. The result is an international library of lasting value for practitioners, academics and future generations.
Our aim is simple — connect readers with books worth owning. Every title we publish deserves a permanent place on the shelf. We curate ours carefully, with an editorial eye shaped by years of reading, selling, and talking about books with people who love them.
We preserve the words of the masters and carry them thoughtfully into our own time. Along the way, they are quietly enriched by what has been learned, experienced and passed on over many years. Thus, a subtle connection emerges between inherited wisdom and the generations who will build upon it.
How We Choose What We Publish
Editorial Judgment
Every title is read or reviewed by a member of our team before it joins the catalog. We do stock books because they're worth reading.
Print Quality Standards
We source only from printers whose binding, paper weight, and typography meet a physical standard we'd expect from a book we wanted to keep for thirty years.

The People Behind the Shelf
Many people begin writing their memoirs when they retire. We have chosen a different path: rather than telling our own story, we devote ourselves to preserving and republishing the works of great masters—so that their knowledge and legacy may continue to inspire future generations.
For over 25 years, we have sourced specialist books for multilingual training in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Gaps between language editions led us to develop deep practical knowledge of key authors and works—now a foundation of Monozukuri Editions.
We’re a small international, interdisciplinary and multi-cultural team of dedicated readers and monozukuri practitioners. Together, we bring decades of experience in manufacturing, training and cross-cultural learning—and that perspective shapes every title we select, translate and publish to preserve the knowledge.

Monozukuri Editions carries forward the living inheritance of those who shaped the art, discipline, and human responsibility of making. Through
Den 伝 — the preservation and transmission of a legacy across generations, languages, and cultures—we bring readers into direct dialogue with the original thinkers and practitioners of Monozukuri. Monozukuri Editions embodies Den 伝, carrying knowledge and literary legacies forward. Monozukuri Institute follows Dō 道, the lifelong path of practice and self-cultivation. Monozukuri Alliance lives Shu–Ha–Ri 守破離, the recurring movement from knowledge to skill, from skill to judgement, and from judgement to mastery.
Together, they give enduring form to the conviction that Monozukuri is Hitozukuri: the making of things is inseparable from the development of people.
Our Mission
Monozukuri Editions discovers, preserves, translates, and publishes landmark original works of industrial practice in meticulously edited, multilingual editions.
